Pande, learned counsel for the respondent-Selecting Body. 4. Petitioner participated in a selection for the post of Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari. Since he was not appointed, therefore, he has approached this Court seeking the following relief:- (i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondents to consider the petitioners for appointment to the post of Gram Panchayat Vikas Adhikari in view of the final enquiry report dated 04.10.2018 wherein the petitioners were not found involved in any sharp practice, fraud etc. after reserving three posts for the petitioners as advertised in the second advertisement dated 06.11.2020. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no anomaly was found in the answer script of the petitioner and petitioner was given clean chit by the Inquiry Committee, therefore, there is no reason whatsoever for denying appointment to the petitioner. 6. Mr. B.D. Pande, learned counsel appearing for the Selecting Body, however, submits that in view of complaints regarding large scale 2026:UHC:1483 irregularities in the selection process, State Government took the decision to scrap the entire selection. Thus, he submits that once the selection process is cancelled, then the relief as claimed by petitioner cannot be granted. 7. Without expressing any opinion on the rival contentions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioner is permitted to make representation to the Competent Authority. 8. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the Competent Authority within two weeks from today. If he makes representation within stipulated time, the Competent Authority shall examine, whether the selection process is still ongoing or it is scrapped in its entirety, and if it is found that it is not scrapped in its entirety, then petitioner’s claim for appointment shall be considered, as per law within three months from the date of receipt of representation.
