NATARAJ ORAL ORDER The petitioners have challenged the criminal proceedings initiated against them in C.C.No.27831/2021 by the respondent No.1 for the offences punishable under Section 498A read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (henceforth referred to as 'IPC') pending trial before the XXXII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru City, under Section 498A and read with Section 34 of IPC. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:17774 CRL.P No. 9837 of 2022 2. When this petition is listed for admission, an application is filed under Section 320 (2) read with Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, to compound the offences. A joint memo is also filed, in terms of which, the respondent No.2 has accepted to withdraw the criminal case filed against the petitioners. The application is taken on record. 3. In view of the application filed by the petitioners and the respondent No.2 as well as the joint memo, the application is allowed and the offences against the petitioners are compounded and consequently, proceedings initiated against the petitioner in C.C.No.27831/2021 on the file of XXXII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Section 498A read with Section 34 of IPC, stand terminated. 4.
