Samanta … for the petitioners Mr. Krishendu Bhattacharya, ld. APP Mr. Utsav Dutta … for the State Heard learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary including the statements of witnesses and the injury report. The prosecution case is that the petitioners and the others attacked and assaulted some police personnel who went to execute a warrant of arrest against an accused in the main case. Two police personnel were injured. The petitioners helped the accused flee away from the place. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. 2 Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of requisite formalities.
