Learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent No.6 – District Education Officer, Korba, would submit that he has filed reply today itself stating that on 20.6.2026 an order has been passed granting seniority to the petitioner from the date of appointment when other persons have been appointed on 15.7.2010 and further date of absorption is also mentioned as 1.7.2019 when other persons appointed along with the petitioner were absorbed. He has also contended that the petitioner has been granted admissible pay scale from 1.8.2022 and further pay fixation shall be made notionally w.e.f. 15.7.2010 and seniority shall also be granted from the said date. 2. On the other hand, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the order dated 20.6.2026 is yet to be implemented. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the documents annexed with the petition carefully. 4. Perusal of the order passed in the writ petition would show that the writ petition was disposed of with a direction to grant seniority 3 over and above the person who was just below the petitioner in merit and has been appointed in same category and salary on that basis, in compliance of the order dated 20.6.2026. Moreover, the respondent – District Education Officer, Korba has tendered an apology for complying with the order passed by this Court with some delay. 5. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the parties, as also the order dated 20.6.2026 passed by the District Education Officer, Korba, I am of the considered view that the contempt has been purged. Accordingly, notice issued to the respondents/contemnors are discharged and the contempt proceedings are dropped. 6. Consequently, the Contempt Petition is closed reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to file appropriate proceeding if any exigency arises in future. Sd/- (Parth Prateem Sahu) Judge Barve
