1. The petitioners are present in person. They have filed the present petition for commanding the respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to provide adequate security cover to the petitioners as they have solemnized marriage as per Hindu rites out of their free will and against the wishes of respondent Nos. 4 to 7, who are extending threats to the petitioners.
2. Statement of petitioner No. 2 has been recorded and she has stated that she being major had solemnized marriage with petitioner No. 1 on 06.07.2025 and currently she is in 33rd week of pregnancy. She has further stated that their marriage was not accepted by her father i.e. respondent No. 4 and other relatives i.e. respondent Nos. 5 to 7 and they are extending threats to petitioner No. 2 and her husband i.e. petitioner No. 1. The petitioners have also placed on record a copy of the certificate of marriage in support of their claim that they have solemnized their marriage.
3. Without commenting upon the validity of the marriage, this writ petition is disposed of at this stage with a direction to the petitioners Serial No. 148

that in the event they apprehend any threat to their life and liberty at the hands of the respondent Nos. 4 to 7, they shall approach respondent No. 3 i.e. SHO, Police Station, Rajbagh, who shall look into the grievance of the petitioners and if found genuine, he shall provide protection to the petitioners against the threats from respondent Nos. 4 to 7. It is, however, made clear that this order shall not be construed as a stamp of approval of the marriage solemnized between the petitioners, nor shall it come in the way of any investigation, if any FIR has been registered.
