Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. T. Ramakoteswara Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the respondent police are not taking any action on the representation dated 23.03.2026 submitted through PGRS. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that upon receipt of the representation submitted through PGRS, both the petitioner and her mother were called to the Police Station and an enquiry was conducted. During the enquiry, it was revealed that the issue pertains to a family dispute between the mother and daughter and that no cognizable offence was made out warranting registration of a criminal case. It is further submitted that, during counselling, the petitioner stated that she is residing with her father and 3 Dr. YLR, J W.P.No.12889 of 2026 Dated 05.05.2026 pursuing her studies without any disturbance. The mother of the petitioner was accordingly advised not to interfere with the petitioner’s studies or personal life, to which she agreed. It is also submitted that the petitioner expressed satisfaction with the police intervention and acknowledged in writing that the issue had been amicably resolved. 5. Be that as it may, when the petitioner submits a representation to the respondent police, it is the duty of the respondent police to consider and dispose of the same in accordance with law. 6. Having regard to the entire facts and circumstances of the case, and recording the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to consider and dispose of the representation dated 23.03.2026 submitted by the petitioner through PGRS, in accordance with law, within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if the same has not already been disposed of. 7. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
