2026:JHHC:7157 IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI
B.A. No. 1538 of 2026
------ Parna Kumar @ Vijay Munda .... .... …. Petitioner
Versus The State of Jharkhand
.... .... .... Opp. Party
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY
For the Petitioner : Mr. Manjeet Kumar Choudhary, Advocate
For the State : Ms. Bandana Sinha, A.P.P. ------
Order No.02 / Dated : 16.03.2026
Heard Mr. Manjeet Kumar Choudhary, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with S.T. No.171 of 2025 arising out of Karra P.S. Case No. 32 of 2025 pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge- III, Khunti.
It has been alleged that an unidentified naked dead body of a female in burnt condition was recovered. Though it has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is not named in the First Information Report and has been implicated only on the basis of suspicion, but it appears that apart from the presence of the petitioner having been found at the place of occurrence as per the call detail report, mobile of the deceased was also recovered from the possession of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the strong circumstance which emanates from the above, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected.
