Present Md. Ajmal Hussain, learned counsel along with Ms. Basei Roja Shahni, learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner. [2]
The petitioner has filed an application being MC(W.P.(C)) No. 3 of 2026 for disposal of MC(W.P.(C)) No. 937 of 2025 for passing interim order of confining the freezing account to the disputed transaction amount of Rs. 2,128/- (Rupees two thousand one hundred twenty eight) only. It is also stated that respondent nos. 1 to 4 have been served notice and service to respondent no. 5 is awaited. [3]
None appears on behalf of the respondent no. 1 in spite of proper service. [4]
It is stated that the petitioner has opened saving account at Punjab National Bank, Thoubal Branch bearing A/c no. 0353011008337 and his account has been frozen allegedly for a disputed transaction amount of Rs. 2,128/-. It is prayed that during the pendency of the present writ petition the account may be de-freezed by keeping lien of disputed transaction amount of Rs. 2,128/-. In the interest of justice, especially respondent no. 1 is directed to de-freeze the petitioner’s bank account keeping the lien disputed amount of Rs. 2,128/-. [6]
Accordingly, the MC(W.P.(C)) No. 3 of 2026 and MC(W.P.(C)) No. 937 of 2025 are disposed of. [7]
List the remaining case on 10.02.2026. [8]
