ORDER:
1. The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not issuing Provisional S.T. Caste Certificate (Bentho Oriya) to the Petitioner despite making application, and to declare the same as illegal and arbitrary.
2. The Petitioner claims that he belongs to Bentho Oriya Community, which is now coming under Schedule Tribes and he is due to appear for competitive examination to pursue Engineering Course in the ensuing Academic Year. It is stated that the Petitioner’s father was having ‘Bentho Oriya Caste Certificate’ stating that he belongs to Bentho Oriya Community. As his application was not being considered by the Respondent-authorities, the present Writ Petition is filed.
3. Considering the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions;
i) The Respondent-authorities are directed to examine the
certified documents relied upon by the Petitioner and consider
for issuance of Provisional Caste Certificate within a period

of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order;
ii) No order as to costs.
As a sequel, pending applications, if any, shall stand closed.
