The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Topchanchi P.S. Case No. 75 of 2026 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 132, 121(1), 352, 351(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in demanding extortion from the Hotel Manager of a Hotel and when the police reached the place of occurrence and arrested the co-accused Satyam Tiwari, he attempted to flee away and the petitioner along with the co-accused persons manhandled the informant – police officer deterring him from discharge of his duty and tried to snatch away his service revolver but by the time, more police forces arrived at the place of occurrence and apprehended the petitioner and the co- accused persons. It is next submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is then submitted that the petitioner is a Constable/G.D. of Central Reserve Police Force bearing Force No. 175041761. It is further submitted that the petitioner has been in custody since 20.07.2026 as mentioned in para-13 of the instant bail application. It is next submitted that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent as mentioned in para-12 of the instant bail application. It is lastly submitted that the petitioner undertakes to co-operate with the trial of the case and also undertakes not to annoy or disturb the witnesses of the case in any manner during the trial of the case. Hence, it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Considering the facts of this case, the above-named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dhanbad in connection with Topchanchi P.S. Case No. 75 of 2026 with the condition that he will co-operate with the trial of the case and furnish his mobile number and photocopy of the Aadhar Card in the court below with an undertaking that he will not change his mobile number during the trial of the case and he will not annoy or disturb the witnesses of the case in any manner during the trial of the case. The Registrar General of this Court is directed to seek information from the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India as to whether the petitioner is in fact a Constable/G.D. of the Central Reserve Police Force bearing Force No. 175041761 and to place the matter before the Bench if upon verification, the identity of the petitioner is found not to be true.
