respondents to delete the name of the petitioner from the Rowdy Sheet opened in the 5th respondent Varthur Police Station,
b) further to issue a Writ or Order or direction of appropriate nature directing the respondents to remove the Photograph of the Petitioner exhibited in the fifth respondent Varthur Police Station,
c) to issue a Writ or Order or direction of appropriate nature granting such other relief or reliefs as this Hon'ble court deems fit to grant, in the ends of justice."
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that a rowdy sheet was opened in the name of the petitioner in the year 2019 on account of a complaint having been filed against the petitioner for an offence under Section 324 of IPC. The submission is also that the said proceedings resulted in acquittal of the petitioner on 01.09.2025 and pursuant thereto, the petitioner had approached the respondents for removal of the name of the petitioner from the rowdy sheet, which is not acted upon though the representations was submitted on 06.03.2026 and
07.03.2026. It is in that background, the petitioner is before this Court seeking for the aforesaid reliefs.
3. A perusal of the papers indicates that a rowdy sheet was opened on 23.12.2019 as regards the offences registered

in Crime No.307 of 2019 for offences under Sections 324, 323, 504 and 506 read with Section 34 of IPC, which ended in acquittal of the petitioner on 01.09.2025. From the year 2019 till date, there is no other complaint or proceedings which have been initiated against the petitioner. Except for that one complaint, the petitioner has not been involved in any other criminal activities. The said complaint also having ended in acquittal, I am of the considered opinion that the rowdy sheet cannot continue against the petitioner.
4. As such, I pass the following:
ORDER i) Writ Petition is allowed. ii) Mandamus is issued and the respondents are directed to delete the name of the petitioner from the rowdy sheet opened in respondent No.5 - Police Station within one week from the date of receipt of the copy of the order.
