Ranjan Sharma, Judge [Oral] Petitioners, Gian Chand & others, have invoked contempt jurisdiction of this Court against non-compliance of the judgment dated 23.02.2026 [Annexure C-1] passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, in CWP No.1208 of 2026, Gian Chand and Others v. State of Himachal Pradesh and Others, whereby respondent/competent authority was directed to decide the representation [Annexure P-2] [which is enclosed as Annexure C-2] by passing a speaking order in accordance with law within twelve weeks. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2026:HHC:38527 - 2 - 3. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the representation has not been decided and the speaking orders have not been passed and conveyed as yet. 4. Heard. 5. Notice. Mr. Varun Chandel, Learned Additional Advocate General, accepts and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 6. With the consent of Learned Counsel for the parties, this Court disposes of the instant Contempt Petition, with direction to Respondent/ Competent Authority to comply with the judgment dated 23.02.2026 [Annexure C-1] within a period of three weeks from today. 7. In case, representation already stands decided, the orders on the representation be conveyed to the petitioner within the above period.
