Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that though he is the owner of the land in question, however, peaceful possession of the petitioner over the said land is being disturbed by the private respondents. 3. Petitioner comes up with the present writ petition seeking direction upon the concerned police authority to take steps which would facilitate the petitioner to have peaceful possession over the land in question. 4. However, learned advocate representing the respondent nos.4 & 6 disputes submission made on behalf of the petitioner and right of the petitioner over the land in question is also disputed. 5. State respondents are represented by Mr. Das, learned Additional Government Pleader. 6. Having considered the respective submissions made on behalf of the parties, it appears that the issue involved in this writ petition pertains to civil in nature requiring the petitioner to approach appropriate forum. 7. Police authority is not the appropriate authority to decide inter se right of the parties over the land in question. 8. However, concerned police authority is directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale. 9. Writ petition stands disposed of. 10. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach civil court in pursuit of remedy. 11. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings. (Saugata Bhattacharyya, J.) 2
