The petitioner is an accused in connection with Ichak P.S. Case No. 07 of 2026, pending in the Court learned Principal District and Sessions Judge- cum-Special Judge, NDPS, Hazaribag. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 1762 of 2026. Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he is in custody since 14.01.2026. It has further been submitted that in three of the cases, the petitioner has been acquitted and only one case related to NDPS Act is pending at present against him. Learned counsel further submits that only an intermediate quantity of brown sugar was recovered from his possession. Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner and has submitted that the petitioner has got criminal antecedents including a case u/s NDPS Act. Regard being had to the antecedents of the petitioner particularly with reference to the NDPS Act apart from the present case, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby once again rejected at this stage.
