Heard Mr. Nilesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P assisted by Mr. Shailesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the informant.
The petitioner is an accused in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No.181 of 2025.
It has been alleged that the accused persons had threatened the informant and demanded extortion money for refusal to withdraw a case against one Sabbir Khan.
Submission has been advanced by learned counsel for the petitioner that there is a delay of 9 days in institution of the First Information Report. It has further been submitted that the allegation against the petitioner can be co-related to the custody of the son of the informant in a criminal case. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 13.12.2025.
Learned A.P.P. as also the learned counsel for the informant have opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
Regard being had to the plausible explanation submitted by the petitioner with respect to implication on account of the son of the informant being in custody, which seems to be co-related to the present offence, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi in connection with Chanho P.S. Case No.181 of 2025.
