Vide judgment dated 02.09.2026, respondents- Authorities had been directed to consider the request made for grant of release of the prisoner on furlough, in terms of representation (Annexure P-1/T), as expeditiously as possible. The direction to consider the request as expeditiously as possible had been issued, keeping in view the request made for grant of furlough with respect to specific religious festival scheduled to be held on an unspecified date in September 2026. However, in the application so filed, it is now specified that religious festival is scheduled for 20.09.2026. In the aforesaid facts and attending circumstances, the application is allowed and the application for grant of furlough is directed to be decided on or before 18.09.2026, in terms of judgment dated 02.09.2026.
