The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:- “It is, therefore, prayed that this writ petition may kindly be accepted and this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to call for the entire record of the case and: a) By issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, the Respondent No. 1 – Direction, Local Bodies, Jaipur be directed to decide the Revision Petition No. F.53(1762)Nig./DLB/18 filed by the Petitioner under Section 327 of the Rajasthan Municipalities Act, 2009 within a period of one month; and b) if any pre-judicial order is passed during the pendency of the writ petition, then same may also be set aside; and c) Any other writ, order or direction which may be deemed proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be issued in favour of Petitioner.” 2. Mr. Ajay Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a revision petition being Revision Petition No. [2026:RJ-JP:16584] (2 of 2) [CW-7024/2026] F.53(1762)Nig./DLB/18 is pending before the respondent No.1 – Director, Local Bodies, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur, since the year 2018 and even the pleadings therein are already complete. However, for one reason or the other the same is pending till date. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, thus, confines his prayer to the limited extent that directions may be issued to respondent No.1 – Director, Local Bodies, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur, to consider and decide the said revision petition in a time bound manner, strictly in accordance with law. 4. Taking note of the aforesaid submissions, without delving into the merits of the case and more particularly considering the fact that the aforementioned revision petition is pending from approximately last eight years, wherein, even the pleadings stand complete, respondent No.1 – Director, Local Bodies, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is directed to consider and decide the said revision petition by passing a reasoned and speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties, strictly in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of submission of the certified copy of this order. 5. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. 6. Pending application(s), if any, stand disposed of. 7. Needless to say, this order has been passed only to decide petitioner’s revision petition strictly in accordance with law and in no manner is to be construed as a direction to decide the same in any particular manner.
