Learned counsel for petitioners submitted that petitioner no.1 is husband of respondent no.2 - complainant, while petitioners no.2 and 3 (accused no.2 and 3) are his mother and brother and that proceedings were initiated on account of marital discord between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2. During pendency of matter, they have settled their dispute and complainant does not intend to pursue proceedings. Application is accompanied with affidavit of petitioner no.1 as well as respondent no.2 - complainant. 3. Perusal of complaint indeed reveals dispute arising due to marital discord and since they have decided to settle matter, no useful purpose would be served by continuation of proceedings and ends of justice would be met if a quietus is given.
