The petitioners are before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: i. Issue writ of mandamus and directing the respondents to collect difficit stamp duty on the sale agreement dated 08.11.2008 as Annexure-B and issue certificate in the interest of justice and equity and etc. ii. Issue writ of Mandamus directing Respondent 2 to accept the instrument for adjudication of stamp duty in the interest of justice and equity. iii. Granting any other relief/ves as deemed fit by this Hon'ble court in the circumstances and expediency of the case in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation submitted by the petitioner for - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28111 WP No. 7770 of 2026 collection of deficit stamp duty on sale agreement dated 08.11.2008 has not been considered by respondent and as such the above reliefs have been sought for. 3. Admittedly, the sale agreement has been executed on 08.11.2008 and further admittedly the same is insufficiently stamped. 4. If that be so, it would be for the petitioner to file necessary proceedings and/or application under the appropriate provisions of the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957. 5.
