This Court, vide order dated 18.06.2025 passed in MCRC No. 3233 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the petitioner, namely, Vikas Kumar Manjhi, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on one occasion also this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of the order dated 18.06.2025 4. The learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, District- Bilaspur (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 15.05.2026 has requested for grant of four month’s KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 additional time for concluding the trial. 5. It transpires from perusal of the P.U.D. that summons, bailable warrants and warrants of arrest are being issued from time to time for securing the presence of the remaining prosecution witnesses, however, their presence could not be ensured and consequently, their evidence could not be recorded. It is further revealed that applications filed on behalf of the prosecution on various dates also contributed to the delay in the progress of the trial. Nevertheless, efforts are being made to conclude the matter at the earliest. The P.U.D. further reflects that, apart from dealing with matters pertaining to the Traffic Virtual Court and Cyber Crime cases, the learned trial Court is also entrusted with cases instituted by the Excise Department, Traffic Police, Police Station Civil Lines and City Kotwali. Owing to the heavy pendency of criminal cases before the said Court and the non-appearance of witnesses despite coercive processes, the trial could not be concluded within the stipulated period. Accordingly, the he has sought extension of time and has prayed for grant of a further period of four months for concluding the trial and final disposal of the case. 6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8.
