ORDER:
The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief:
“…to issue order or direction more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents more particularly the action of Respondent No. 5 in not permitting the Petitioner and her family members including their Lawyer for meeting the detenue by name Gottapu Ramesh Babu, S/o. Ramakrishna, aged about 64 years, R/o. D.No. 4-147-1, Bandar Road, Pamarru Village and Mandal, Krishna District, who was arrested by 4TH RespondentPolice and sent for detention to 5TH Respondent as illegal, arbitrary, violation of principles of natural justice and violation of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents to forthwith Permit the Petitioner and other family members including Lawyer to meet the detenueGottapu Ramesh Babu,S/o. Ramakrishna, aged about 64 years, R/o. D.No. 4-147-1, Bandar Road, Pamarru Village and Mandal, Krishna Districtwho is in the 5TH Respondent Jail…”
2. Heard the learned counsel for Petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader.

Mr.P.S.P.Suresh Kumar, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that Respondent No.5 is not permitting the Petitioner and her family members, including their lawyer, to meet the detenue, namely Gottapu Ramesh Babu, S/o Ramakrishna, who was arrested by Respondent No.4 and sent for detention to the custody of Respondent No.5.
4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that the detenue, Gottapu Ramesh Babu, was admitted

to Central Prison, Rajamahendravaram on 25.03.2026 pursuant to orders of the learned District Magistrate, Krishna District, under the Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act, 1980. He further submits that, as per Section 13(3) of the Andhra Pradesh Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act, 1986, interviews can be permitted only after verification of family members by the concerned police authorities, and since the verification report is still awaited, interviews will be allowed immediately upon receipt of the same.
5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, and the
submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is
disposed of directing the Respondents to permit the Petitioner and her family members, including their lawyer, to meet the detenue, namely Gottapu Ramesh Babu, S/o Ramakrishna, who has been detained in the Central Prison, Rajamahendravaram, in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
