1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 14.11.2025 passed in MCRC No. 9162 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the applicant, namely, Kanika Maiti had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest AKHILESH KUMAR DEWANGAN Digitally signed by AKHILESH KUMAR DEWANGAN
2 endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (C.G. Protection of Depositors Interest Act), Ambikapur, District - Surguja (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 12.05.2026 has requested for grant of 08-10 months time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that the case pertains to offence under Section C.G. Protection of Depositors’ Interest Act, involving a large number of investors and witnesses whose statements are required to be recorded, there are as many as 128 witnesses, out of which, the statement of only 15 witnesses have been recorded so far leaving a substantial number of witnesses yet to be examined. Therefore, it is respectfully submitted that a period of 08-10 months is required for the final disposal of the present case.
5. The request made by the learned trial Court, is allowed, however, instead of granting 08-10 months, this Court deems it appropriate to grant further 05 months time for concluding the trial from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
