This Court directed the second respondent to find the whereabouts of the detenue. The detenue was produced before the Court today. When we inquired of the detenue, she stated that she is not on good terms with the petitioner and that she had gone to Andhra Pradesh on her own volition. She further stated that she is looking for a job and once she settles, she will also take care of the girl child, who is presently in the custody of the petitioner. 3. In the light of the fact that the detenue had left the matrimonial home on her own volition, there is no question of any illegal detention of the detenue.
