ORDER The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to take necessary steps to remove the entry made in FMB as Oorani for the petitioners patta land in S.F.No. 325/5 with an extent of 0.28.00 Ares (69 Cents) situates at Kozhunthurai Group, Karaikudi Village, Mudhukulathur Taluk, Ramnad District by considering his representation dated 04.11.2025 within a time that may be stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner is an Ex-Army Officer retired from service in the year 1991. The petitioner has fought the Pakistan War in the year 1971. Therefore, the Government assigned the land in S.F.No. 325/5 with an extent of 0.28.00 Ares (69 Cents). Originally, the said land was entered in the A Register as government puramboke. While assigning the land, the respondents have reclassified the land as Sarkar Nanjai Tharisu land. Thereafter, the patta was also issued. In the patta, it has been stated as Sarkar Nanjai Tharisu land. However, subsequently it has been reclassified as Oorani. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has filed W.P.(MD) No.29957 of 2025 and this Court vide order dated the 25.10.2025 had held that the reclassification can be carried out only by the Commissioner of Land Administration. This Court has https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis directed the petitioner to approach the Commissioner of Land Administration for reclassification. Based on the same, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 04-11-2025 and the same is pending before the 1st respondent. 3.Therefore, this Court is directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 04.11.2025 and pass orders in accordance to law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
