This application has been filed by Reeta Verma wife of late Bhagwati Prasad Verma for restoration of WPC No. 3628/2019. The petitioner- Bhagwati Prasad Verma had filed WPC No. 3628/2019 and during pendency of said writ petition he died and application for substitution of legal representative was allowed vide order dated 17.07.2025 and 07 working days’ time was granted to carry out necessary amendment. At the same time peremptory order was passed. The amendment could not be carried out within period of 07 days, therefore, said writ petition was dismissed on account of peremptory order. Thereafter MCC No. 877/2025 was filed by Bhagwati Prasad Verma for restoration of writ Digitally signed by RAMESH KUMAR VATTI Date: 2026.06.19 16:09:45 +0530 2 petition which was dismissed on the ground that application was moved on behalf of a dead person without impleading his legal representative. The instant application has been moved by wife of Bhagwati Prasad Verma, namely, Reeta Verma for restoration of writ petition. 2. Ms. Zainab Vanak, learned counsel appearing for the applicant would submit that due to inadvertence, the order dated 17.07.2025 passed in WPC No. 3628/2019 was not complied with. She would submit that the applicant is interested in pursuing the matter and necessary steps would be taken pursuant to direction which would be issued by this Court. 3. On the other hand, Mr. Anil Pandey, learned Government Advocate appearing for the State/respondents would oppose. 4. Heard. 5. It appears that no steps were taken to carry out necessary amendment and thereafter application for restoration of writ petition was moved on behalf of a dead person. At present said mistake has been rectified and this application for restoration has been moved by wife of Bhagwati Prasad Verma, who was petitioner in 3628/2019. In the interest of justice, one week’s time is granted to Ms. Zainab Vanak to carry out necessary amendment in WPC No. 3628/2019 and said writ petition is hereby restored to its original number subject to payment of cost of Rs.3,000/- payable to High Court Bar Library. 6.
