02/29.07.2026 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
2. The petitioner is apprehending her arrest in connection with Sikidiri P.S. Case No. 08 of 2026, registered for the offence under Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and Section 12 of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2005, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of one of the pick-up van and the allegations are made of carrying of the bovine animal. She further submits that the bovine animal was booked by another person. She also submits that the petitioner is having no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para 15 of the petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer and submits that illegally the bovine animals were being carried on the said pick up van.
5. Considering that the petitioner is owner of one of pick-up van and he is having no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para 15 of the petition and it has been pointed that the bovine animals were booked by
2026:JHHC:22406 another person, in the attending facts and circumstances, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned court within two weeks from today and in the event of her arrest or surrender, she shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi, in connection with Sikidiri P.S. Case No. 08 of 2026, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
