GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING The Court made the following: 2 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NYAPATHY VIJAY Writ Petition No:14010 /2026 O R DE R: The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.15,00,000/- sanctioned to the daughter of the Petitioner under ‘Videshi Vidhya Deevena’ scheme for pursuing MBBS in South Kazakhstan Medical Academy as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The facts leading to this case are as follows: The daughter of the Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under “Videshi Vidhya Deevana’ for pursuing MBBS in South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, vide Application ID No.OV2019122961. After due verification, Respondent No.3 sanctioned Rs.15,00,000/- in favour of the daughter of the Petitioner for pursuing the said course. Though, the daughter of the Petitioner had completed her Course, the financial assistance as promised to her was not disbursed. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for the Respondent No.3/Corporation submits that the application of the daughter of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the daughter of the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the 3 claim of the daughter of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the daughter of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the daughter of the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs.
