Mr. Indranil Halder …for the petitioner. Dr. Madhusudan Saha Ray, Mr. Debanjan Chatterjee …for the CESC Limited. 1. The petitioner seeks restoration of an electricity connection at the subject premises. On behalf of the respondent CESC Limited, it is submitted that a sum of approximately Rs.3,38,095/- is due and payable on account of unauthorized use of electricity by the petitioner. 2. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner, upon payment of a sum of 50% of the said amount the CESC Limited is directed to restore the electricity connection at the subject premises. 3. It is made clear that any restoration charges would be in addition to the above payment of 50% 2 including meter replacement charges. Insofar as the balance of 50% is concerned, the petitioner is directed to pay the sum in four monthly installments commencing from the 5th of March, 2026 on each succeeding month. 4. In case of default of any one installment, CESC Limited is at liberty to disconnect the electricity connection at the subject premises. This order has been passed at the invitation of the petitioner.
