This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by the petitioner seeking the following relief: “…to issue a Writ or Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents more particularly the respondents 4 to 6 and other constables of the 4th respondent police station in calling the petitioner to the police station from their respective mobile numbers and also confining in the police station for hours together under due influence of the 7th respondent without there being any cause or case as illegal, arbitrary and also oppose to all cannons of justice as well as oppose to Article 14 and 21 of the Constriction of India consequentially direct the respondents particularly the respondents 4 to 6 not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner as well as with the alleged dispute with the 7th respondent without following procedure contemplated under law…” 2. The brief case of the Petitioner is that, the Respondent-Police particularly Respondent Nos.4 to 6 and other constables of Respondent No.4- police station called the Petitioner to the police station from their respective mobile numbers and also confined the Petitioner in the police station for hours together under the due influence of Respondent No.7, without there being any cause of case. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. The Respondent-Police have submitted written instructions, wherein it was stated that, based on the P.G.R.S. complaint lodged by the Respondent No. 7, who is none other than the wife of the Petitioner, Respondent No. 5 4 called the Petitioner and Respondent No. 7 to the police station for enquiry and closed the P.G.R.S complaint. 4. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent-Police not to interfere with the life and liberty of the Petitioner without following due process of law. There shall be no order as to costs.
