JUSTICE PARTHIVJYOTI SAIKIA ORDER Date : 27.03.2026 This is a common order for these two bail applications as both the bail applications have arisen out of the same FIR. 2. Heard Mr. S. Choudhury as well as Mr. Darrak Ullah, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr.Bhaskar Sarma, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 3. Both these bail applications are filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioners, namely, Ranjit Das and Sabirul Islam Laskar praying for releasing them on bail, after they were arrested in connection with Hojai P. S. Case No.300/2025. 4. It is submitted that today is the 181 days and 180 days of the petitioners’ detention in custody. 5. Mr. Bhaskar has submitted that no charge sheet has been filed against the petitioners. 6. Therefore, both the petitioners are entitled to default bail. 7. Accordingly, both the bail applications are allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that the petitioners, namely, Ranjit Das and Sabirul Islam Laskar, who were arrested in connection with Hojai P. S. Case No.300/2025, shall be allowed to go on bail of ₹25,000/- each with sureties of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Hojai.
