1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 04.07.2024 passed in MCRC No. 2947/2024, while allowing the bail to the petitioners, namely, Nimai Luha and Purohit Sona, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. Earlier on occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for conclusion of the trial vide order dated 03.02.2026 in CRMP No.334/2026.
4. The Special Judge, Saraipali, District – Mahasamund (C.G.) through learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Mahasamund, District – Mahasamund (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 05.06.2026 has requested for grant of 02 month’s time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the present case is at the stage of prosecution evidence, and out of 12 prosecution witnesses 03 prosecution witnesses are yet to be examined before the trial Court, the trial is likely to take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of 02 month’s time for concluding the trial.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of 02 months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
