Order on Board 18.06.2026 1 This is an office reference. 2 This Court, vide order dated 18.07.2025 passed in MCRC No. 4585 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the applicants, namely, Shamim Rehman and Bharat Sukhwani, had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months, if there was no legal impediment. 3 Earlier also, this Court had granted extension of time for compliance of ABHISHEK SHRIVAS Digitally signed by ABHISHEK SHRIVAS Date: 2026.06.19 11:11:24 +0530
2 the order dated 18.07.2025. 4 The learned Special Judge (Protection of Depositors Interest Act), Surajpur District-Surajpur (C.G.) vide her request letter dated 11.05.2026 has requested for grant of six months time for concluding the trial. 5 It transpires from the PUD that pursuant to the order dated 15.01.2026 passed by the this Court in CRMP No. 133/2026, the present case was directed to be concluded within four months. The prosecution has cited 42 witnesses, out of which statements of 06 witnesses have been recorded and 02 witnesses have been given up. Evidence of the remaining witnesses is yet to be recorded and the case is being continuously fixed for prosecution evidence. In view of the substantial evidence still remaining to be recorded, the trial could not be concluded within the stipulated period. Therefore, it is respectfully submitted that a further period of six months may kindly be granted for final disposal of the case. 6 The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 7 Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 8 Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance.
