The instant bail application has been preferred by the petitioner for grant of regular bail for the offences registered under Section 317(5), 273, 3(5) of BNS and under Section 12 of the Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act in connection with Lower Bazar PS Case No. 255 of 2025. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has not committed any offence. It is submitted that the petitioner is neither the owner of the vehicle nor he is concerned with either selling or purchasing of prohibited meat. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the co-accused, namely, Md. Kadir, in B.A No. 2175 of 2026 has been granted bail vide order dated 18.03.2026 by this Court and the petitioner is in custody since 29.10.2025. As such, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be enlarged on bail. 4. Learned APP opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner. 5. Having regard to the fact that the allegation against the petitioner is general and omnibus coupled with the fact that the co-accused in B.A No. 2175 of 2026 has been granted bail by this Court and the 2026:JHHC:7793 2 petitioner is lying in custody since 29.10.2025, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate First Class XXVIII, Ranchi in connection with Lower Bazar PS Case No. 255 of 2025. 6. It is made clear that the petitioner shall appear on each and every date before the learned trial Court and he shall not threaten any witness and shall co-operate in trial and if any adverse report will come against the above-named petitioner, learned trial Court shall be at liberty to cancel the bail of the above-named petitioner. 7.
