On 15.05.2026, following order was passed:- “1. Present petition has been filed by the petitioner – Harpreet Singh @ Nobal, seeking grant of anticipatory bail, in case, FIR No.141, dated 05.09.2023, under Sections 420, 406, 120-B of IPC (corresponding to sections 318(4), 316(2) and 61(2) of BNS), registered at Police Station City 1, District Mansa. 2. On oral request, complainant namely Kulwinder Singh, son NISHA 2026.05.29 16.55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-23634-2026 (O&M) -2- of Chuhar Singh, resident of Ward No.9, Mansa Teh, District Mansa (mobile No.98761-28944), is hereby ordered to be impleaded as respondent No.2. Let amended memo of parties be filed by counsel for the petitioner in the Registry, within a period of two working days from today, without moving any separate application. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that present FIR has been registered against the petitioner along with the co-accused, namely Nakul Sharma and Mukul Kumar, on the allegations that they duped the complainant, namely Kulwinder Singh, for an amount of Rs.25 lakhs on the pretext of sending the complainant’s son abroad. It is alleged that an amount of Rs.6.5 lakhs was transferred into the bank account of the petitioner. 4. Counsel further submits that petitioner is not the principal accused in the present case and was merely working as an employee under the co-accused. It is contended that the aforesaid amount of Rs.6.5 lakhs came to be credited into the petitioner’s bank account only in the course of such employment and at the instance of the co- accused persons. 5. While advancing the aforesaid submissions, learned counsel further submits that petitioner is willing to amicably resolve the dispute qua his role in the matter. In order to demonstrate his bona fide, petitioner is ready and willing to furnish a demand draft of Rs.2 lacs in favour of the complainant/respondent No.2. 6. Notice of motion. 7. On advance notice, Mr. Neeraj Madaan, Sr. DAG, Punjab, puts an appearance on behalf of the respondent/State, and seeks some time to file status report in the matter. 8. List again on 27.05.2026. 9. Since the order dated 06.08.2025 passed by learned Court below, whereby petitioner was declared a proclaimed person, has been set aside, vide order of even date passed in CRM-M-25961- 2026, subject to payment of costs of Rs.20,000/- and with a further direction that he be released on bail upon his appearance before the Court concerned, it is directed that in the present case as well, that in the event, petitioner appears before the Court concerned onorbefore 26.05.2026, he shall be released on interim bail, subject to his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court/ Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Illaqa Magistrate/ Duty Magistrate concerned, if not required in any other case. 10. However, petitioner is directed to bring a demand draft amounting to Rs.2 lakhs in favour of the complainant/respondent No.2 on the next date of hearing, in order to demonstrate his bona fide’. 3. In compliance of aforesaid order dated 15.05.2026 passed by this Court, a demand draft amounting to Rs.2,00,000/- issued in favour of respondent No.2-Kulwant Singh (complainant) has been produced in Court. Copy of the said draft is taken on record. Counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to aforesaid order, petitioner appeared before the Court below NISHA 2026.05.29 16.55 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-23634-2026 (O&M) -3- and furnished his bail bonds and has been released on bail. Therefore, counsel prays for confirmation of the said interim anticipatory bail order. 4. The original demand draft be handed over to the Investigation Officer of the case within two weeks from today, who shall further hand over the same to the complainant without any further delay. 5. Since the petitioner has surrendered before the trial Court and has been released on bail, ad-interim bail order dated 15.05.2026 passed by this Court is hereby made absolute. 6. Accordingly, present petition is allowed.
