1. The learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed for bail on the ground that he is in custody for one year and five months and the videographer turned hostile. There is no chance of an early conclusion of the trial.
2. The learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail. According to him 11.08.2026 is fixed for examination of the accused under Section 313 of the Cr.P.C.
3. It appears from the record that more than 33 kg. of ganja was recovered from the possession of the present petitioner. The rigors under Section 37 of the NDPS Act were not rebutted.
4. The petitioner’s prayer stands rejected.
5. CRM(NDPS) 1176 of 2026 is dismissed.
