IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI
B.A. No. 5278 of 2026
Md. Yasin Ansari @ Asin Ansari
… … Petitioner
Versus
The State of Jharkhand
… Opposite Party
------- CORAM : HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RONGON MUKHOPADHYAY
-------
For the Petitioner : Mr. Rahul Dev, Advocate
For the State : A.P.P
-------
02/27.07.2026
Heard Mr. Rahul Dev, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P.
The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 2573 of 2026.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner that four witnesses have been examined during trial but none have supported the prosecution case. It has been submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 08.09.2025.
Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
The allegations reveal that a Samosa was given to the victim who subsequently became unconscious and taking advantage of her position the petitioner had sexually exploited the victim.
It appears that though 4 witnesses have been examined by the prosecution but the victim is yet to be examined.
On consideration of the above, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner which stands rejected once again at this stage.
