Mr. Balram Sharma, learned DSGI and Ms. Seema Sharma, learned Deputy Advocate General appear and waive service of notice on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 to 7, respectively. 2. Petitioner has instituted this writ petition against office order dated 01.09.2026 (Annexure P-7) transferring him from FK Circle, Sai, Tehsil Thural, District Kangra to Sub-Tehsil office, Chadhiar, District Kangra vice respondent No.8. Impugned transfer has been assailed primarily on the ground that petitioner has been appointed as Supervisor/Census Functionary for Census 2027, therefore, he is entitled 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 to continue to stay at his present place of posting in view of instructions dated 11.03.2026 (Annexure P-2) and instructions dated 22.07.2026 (Annexure P-5). 3. At this stage, learned Deputy Advocate General has placed on record office order dated 07.-09.2026, passed by respondent No.7, the Director Land Records, relevant portion of which reads as under: “OFFICE ORDER In continuation of this directorate office order No. Rev. (DLR)/TRF(P/K)/2026/12358-369 dated 01-09-2026, the transfer orders of Sh. Vijay Singh Kanungo, from FK Circle Sai, Tehsil Thural, District Kangra to Sub-Tehsil Office Chadhiar, District Kangra vice Smt. Renu Bala Kanungo, is hereby kept in abeyance till 31-03-2027 in view of the instructions dated 22-05-2026 issued by Secretary (GAD) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh regarding not to transfer the census functionaries appointed for Census-2027. Both the officials are hereby directed to continue their duties at their respective previous places of posting and shall join their duties at their new place of postings after completion of census operation on 01-04-2027. Keeping in view the aforesaid order, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the aforesaid office order has redressed the grievance of the petitioner.
