In this writ petition, the grievance of the petitioner is with regard to conducting phodi and durasth proceedings in respect of the land belonging to the petitioner pursuant to the representation dated 10.11.2025 produced at Annexure-M. The petitioner - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28481 WP No. 37245 of 2025 has, inter-alia, sought quashing of the Endorsement dated 18.01.2025 produced at Annexure-A issued by respondent No. 4. 3. Having taken note of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and upon careful consideration of the Endorsement dated 18.01.2025 (Annexure-A), it is seen that respondent No.4 has stated that, on the instructions of the Hon'ble Minister for Revenue, as there are certain illegal entries alleged to have been made in several lands situated in Yelahanka Taluk, the Regional Commissioner, Bengaluru Division, was directed to verify the same and take an appropriate decision in the matter. 4. A perusal of the writ petition indicates that the said direction was issued by the Hon'ble Minister for Revenue prior to the issuance of the Endorsement - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28481 WP No. 37245 of 2025 dated 18.01.2025 (Annexure-A). However, no action has been taken against the petitioner till date, and the petitioner is unaware as to when the respondent- authorities propose to take action in the matter. 5. In this regard, the learned Additional Government Advocate has placed on record a letter dated 18.05.2026 addressed by respondent No. 4 to respondent No.2 requesting that an enquiry be conducted by the Regional Commissioner. However, the petitioner has neither received any notice nor any intimation regarding such enquiry from the respondents. 6. In that view of the matter, if no action is initiated and concluded against the petitioner in respect of the subject land within an outer limit of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, it shall be presumed that no proceedings - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:28481 WP No. 37245 of 2025 are contemplated against the petitioner in relation to the subject land. Consequently, respondent Nos. 3 and 4 are directed to conduct phodi and durasth proceedings in respect of the subject land within an outer limit of six months, thereafter, strictly in accordance with law.
