Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Act, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’) by the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 6, seeking to quash the proceedings against them in Cr.No.248 of 2024 dated 20.06.2024 on the file of Pedavegi Police Station, Eluru District for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 341, 324 and 506 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for brevity, ‘the I.P.C.,’) and Sections 3(1)(r),3(1)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (for brevity, ‘the SC/ST (POA) Act’). 2. I.A.No.3 of 2026 has been filed by the Petitioner/de‑facto complainant/Respondent No.2 seeking permission to compromise the case in Crime No.248 of 2024 dated 20.06.2024 on the file of Pedavegi Police Station, Eluru District, against the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 6. 3

I.A.No.4 of 2026 has been filed by the Petitioner/de‑facto complainant/Respondent No.2 seeking to record the compromise between the Petitioner/de‑facto complainant and the Respondents/Accused Nos.1 to 6 as per the joint memo, and to quash the proceedings in Crime No.248 of 2024 dated 20.06.2024 on the file of Pedavegi Police Station, Eluru District. 4. Mr.A.Sai Rohith, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for the State, reported no objection to record the compromise. 5. As per the joint memo filed by the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 6 and the Respondent No.2/de‑facto complainant, both parties, with the advice of elders, have amicably settled the matter and submitted a Joint Compromise Petition. The de‑facto complainant has stated that he has no objection to quashing the proceedings in Crime No.248 of 2024 on the file of Pedavegi Police Station, Eluru District. The compromise has been entered into voluntarily, with free will and consent, without any coercion or undue influence. Both parties have confirmed the settlement by signing the joint memo. 6. Considering the submissions and in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Apex Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab and another1, since there is an amicable settlement between the parties, in the interest of justice, I.A.Nos.3 and 4 of 2026 are disposed of. 7. Consequently, Criminal Petition is allowed, and the case against the Petitioners/Accused Nos.1 to 6 in Cr.No.248 of 2024 dated 20.06.2024 on the file of Pedavegi Police Station, Eluru District for the alleged offences
