ORAL ORDER
In this petition, petitioner is assailing the order dated 25.02.2013 passed by respondent No.1 in respect of the subject land (Annexure-M) and also to set aside the order dated 27.07.2013 passed by respondent No.1. (Annexure- N).
2. Having taken note of the submissions made by
learned counsel appearing for the parties and the findings recorded by the respondent-authority, it would indicate that the proceedings have been initiated under Section 79(A), 79(B) and 79(C) under the provisions of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961 and therefore, an amendment was made repealing those provisions. In that view of the matter, this Court in identical matter in

W.P.No.6968/2026 between SURESH v. THE STATE OF KARNATAKA AND OTHERS, disposed of on 08.04.2026, in the operative portion of the order held as follows:
"Accordingly, this Court proceeds to pass the following:
ORDER
i) The writ petition is disposed of.
ii) The matter is remanded back to the respondent-Assistant Commissioner to consider the case of the petitioner including the consequences of the subsequent amendment brought to the provisions of Sections 79-A and 79-B of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act in Karnataka Amendment No.56 of 2020.
iii) If revenue entries have been altered pursuant to the impugned
order dated 27.07.2013, the same shall be restored in favour of the petitioner.
iv) The petitioner shall appear before the respondent-Assistant Commissioner on 29.04.2026, without waiting for further notice from the Assistant Commissioner.
Ordered accordingly."
3. Having taken note of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, under similar circumstances, as stated above, the matter requires to be remanded to respondent No.3 to consider the case of the

petitioner including the consequences of the subsequent amendment brought to the provisions of Sections 79(A) and 79(B) of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act in Karnataka Amendment No.56/2020.
4. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of and the revenue entries are to be modified as per the prayer sought by the petitioner and as per the order made by respondent No.1.
5. It is also to be noted that, since the petitioner is represented by the counsel, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent No.3 on 13.07.2026 at 3.00 PM and after the appearance of the parties, respondent No.3 is directed to conclude the matter at the earliest.
