2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the departmental enquiry initiated by the respondents by issuing a charge sheet dated 03/12/2024, is still pending against the petitioner. According to him, the respondent No.4, who is the Inquiry Officer, is not proceeding with the enquiry and hence, he prays for a limited relief that the respondents authorities may be directed to conclude the departmental enquiry within a stipulated period. 3. Learned State counsel, by referring a communication of the State Government dated 20/06/2025, submits that the petitioner’s involvement in a land acquisition proceeding is being inquired by E.O.W, which is a subject matter of the departmental enquiry, hence, the enquiry is not being proceeded with and the same will take some more time. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the pleadings and charge sheet dated 03/12/2024. 5. Having considered the submission advanced by learned counsel for the parties and as the petitioner is seeking a limited prayer for conclusion of the departmental enquiry as the charge sheet has already been filed, this Court deems it appropriate to direct respondent No. 4, who is the Inquiry Officer, to conclude the departmental enquiry and pass the reasoned order, in accordance with law and on its own merits, as early as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3
