Petitioner's case is that he has made a representation on 6.8.2026 (Annexure P-4), to respondent No.1, in continuation of his previous representations, requesting transfer to his home district or nearby district on medical and humanitarian grounds, but the representations have not been considered and decided by the competent authority till date.
3. Learned proxy counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be content in case the respondent No.1/competent 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 authority is directed to consider and decide the aforesaid representations in accordance with law within a fixed-time schedule. Learned counsel for the respondents is not averse to this prayer.

Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1/ competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner, Annexure P-4 as also the previous representations, in accordance with law and Rules/Policy governing the field within a period of four weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, also to stand disposed of.
