Chaturvedy, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned P.P. for the State. The petitioner is an accused in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 370 of 2025 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Gumla. It has been alleged that the petitioner and two other persons were apprehended with brown sugar. From the possession of the petitioner, 250 gms. of brown sugar was recovered which includes weight of the packet. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is in custody since 12.11.2025. Learned P.P. has submitted that petitioner has one criminal antecedent of similar nature. Regard being had to the quantity of brown sugar which has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and the same is hereby rejected.
