ORAL ORDER
1. Accused in S.C.No.1068/2025 pending before the Court of LXXI Addl. City Civil & Sessions Judge, Bengaluru, arising out of Crime No.194/2024 registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 354, 354A, 354B, 342, 366 IPC, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.194/2024 was registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the aforesaid offences against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 03.05.2024 received from Smt. Shilpa who is the alleged victim in the present case. 4. During the course of investigation in the said case, petitioner was arrested on 03.05.2024 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl. Misc. No.4273/2024 was rejected on
24.05.2024. Therefore, petitioner is before this Court. - 3 -

The allegation found in the first information as well as the charge sheet against the petitioner is, that on 03.05.2024 at about 09.45 p.m., when the victim lady was walking on the road towards her house, the petitioner who was standing in front of the bus, all of a sudden dragged the victim lady inside the bus after holding her hands and mouth with his hands, he allegedly locked the bus door and thereafter attempted to commit forcible sexual intercourse with her. When she raised a cry, 5 to 6 persons came there and rescued her. Petitioner is in custody in the present case from 03.05.2024. The maximum punishment for the alleged offences is imprisonment for a period of ten years. The trial in the case is yet to commence. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter and also considering the period of incarceration undergone by the petitioner, I am of the opinion that petitioner's prayer for grant of regular bail is required to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order:
6. The petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in S.C.No.1068/2025 pending before the Court of LXXI Addl. City Civil & Sessions Judge, Bengaluru, arising out

of Crime No.194/2024 registered by Jnanabharathi Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 354, 354A, 354B, 342, 366 IPC, subject to the following conditions: a) Petitioner shall execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court;
b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons;
c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses;
d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future;
e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is disposed off.
