The petitioner is challenging Annexure – 08, which is a notice issued to the petitioner under the Jharkhand Public Land Encroachment Act in Encroachment Case No. 01 of 2025 – 2026. 2. It is not a case that the notice issuing authority has got no jurisdiction to issue the notice. The area of the land is also well defined. Thus, since merely a notice has been issued to the petitioner, the petitioner should appear before the Circle Officer, Mandu and place his defence which should be considered and since the proceeding has been initiated under the Jharkhand Public Land (2026:JHHC:21652) 2 Encroachment Act, all the provisions of the Act be adhered to and an appropriate order should be passed and communicated to the petitioner. 3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. (ANANDA SEN, J.) Aditi Dated: 22.07.2026 Uploaded on 23.07.2026
