Briefly stated, the facts giving rise to the present petition are that on 04.07.2022, an altercation allegedly took place between the petitioners and Respondent No. 2 at Shop No. 20, DDA Market, Sarai Kale Khan, New Delhi, involving verbal abuse and a physical scuffle. On the basis of the complaint made by Respondent No. 2, the present FIR came to be registered. 6. It is submitted that with the intervention of well-wishers and elders of the locality, the parties have amicably resolved their disputes and executed a Settlement Deed dated 17.03.2026. It is further submitted that Respondent No. 2 does not wish to pursue the criminal proceedings against the petitioners. 7. On a query made by this Court, Respondent No. 2 categorically states that the disputes between the parties have been amicably settled vide Settlement Deed dated 17.03.2026, out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequential proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 8. In view of the aforesaid submissions and the settlement arrived at between the parties, this Court is satisfied that the disputes between the parties have been amicably resolved. Considering the nature of the allegations and the fact that Respondent No. 2 does not wish to pursue the matter any further, no useful purpose would be served by continuing the criminal proceedings, which would only prolong the dispute between the parties. 9. Accordingly, FIR No. 408/2022, registered at Police Station Sunlight Colony, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 354/323/34 of the IPC, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed. 10.
