GP FOR PROHIBITION EXCISE The Court made the following: ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed for the following relief: “…to issue an appropriate Writ Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ Of Mandamus declare the action of the Respondents in demanding the Petitioners to pay a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- and Rs. 7,50,000/- respectively towards the license fee for permit room though the Petitioners are not intend to extend/require a permit room as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Article-14, 19(1)(g) and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents continue the License of the Petitioner without any hurdles till completion of the Period of License till 30-09-2026 without insisting for extending Permit Room …” 2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue Department. 3. Mr. Kiran Tirumalasetti, learned counsel for the Petitioners, submits that the Petitioners have submitted a representation dated 11.05.2026 to the Respondents for sanction of a license for a permit room. 4. Ms.Prasanthi Gude, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Prohibition & Excise, submits that the Petitioners have not filed acknowledgment of the representation submitted by them to the Respondents. 5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Respondents are directed to dispose of the representation dated 11.05.2026 submitted by the Petitioners within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the representation of the Petitioners is not 3 available with the Respondents, they are at liberty to inform the Petitioners, requiring them to submit the representation afresh. On submission of such fresh representation, the Respondents are directed to dispose of the same within three (03) weeks thereafter. Until such time, the Respondents are directed not to take any coercive steps against the Petitioners. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
