Due to matrimonial differences, the parties started living separately w.e.f. 18.05.2021. Pursuant to a complaint made by Respondent No.2, FIR No.843/2021 was registered at P.S. Dwarka under Sections 406, 498A, and 34 of the IPC. Respondent No.2 also instituted proceedings under Section 12 of the Domestic Violence Act. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, vide settlement agreement dated 01.03.2025, under which Petitioner No.1 agreed to pay Rs.5,00,000/- along with the agreed articles towards full and final settlement of Respondent No.2’s claims.
