Jaswinder Singh @ Sethu vs State of H.P Cr.M.P(M) No.1608 of 2026 24.08.2026 Present Mr. Vijender Katoch, Advocate, for the applicant. Mr. Vishal Panwar, Additional Advocate General with Mr. Ravi Chauhan and Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Advocate Generals, for the respondent-State. Cr.M.P(M) No.1608 of 2026 By way of instant application filed under Section 5 of limitation Act, prayer has been made on behalf of the applicant/appellant for condonation of delay in maintaining the accompanying appeal, which is barred by limitation. Pursuant to notice issued in the instant proceedings, Mr. Vishal Panwar, learned Additional Advocate General states that he does not intend to file any reply to the application, and as such this Court may pass appropriate order. Having perused the averments contained in the application, which is duly supported by affidavit, this Court is convinced and satisfied that delay in maintaining the accompanying appeal is neither intentional nor deliberate, rather same has occurred on account of lengthy administrative process and as such, delay in filing the appeal, which in my considered view has been sufficiently explained, is condoned. The application stands disposed of. Criminal Appeal No.______2026 Be registered. Admit. Notice. Mr. Vishal Panwar, learned Additional Advocate General, waives service of post admission notice on behalf of respondent. Record, if not received, be called for. Cr.MP No.7543 of 2026 Reply, as prayed, be filed within a period of two weeks. List on 07.09.2026. (Sandeep Sharma) Judge August 24,2026 (meera)
