In the said representation, the petitioner sought shifting or removal of the electrical line passing over the petitioner’s property, which had been drawn for the purpose of providing electricity service connection to respondents 2 and 3 in the writ petition. While disposing of the writ petition, this Court had issued the following direction: “5. In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 07.12.2024 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, as well as all other persons who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any view with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the first respondent to consider the same on its own merits.” 2.It is stated by the respondent that a survey will be conducted and, if it is found during such survey that the transmission lines have been drawn over the petitioner’s land, the same will be removed after affording an opportunity to respondents 2 and 3. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis Cont.P(MD)No.770 of 2026 3. Since the order which is the subject matter of the contempt petition has been complied with, nothing survives for further adjudication in the contempt petition. 4.Accordingly, the contempt petition is closed. The respondent is directed to implement the order dated 06.04.2026 passed pursuant to the directions issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) No. 4636 of 2025, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
